A few years ago, if you’d told me I’d be running my own practice focused on women’s mental health, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. My journey began at the bedside, working as a nurse in critical care. It was intense, meaningful work, but over time, I realized that I wanted to do more—not just for patients in crisis, but for those navigating everyday struggles, particularly women.
The move from bedside nursing to business owner wasn’t easy. I faced my share of doubts and sleepless nights, wondering if I was ready to take on this role. But I kept coming back to one thought: women need mental health care that truly understands them, provided by someone who knows the challenges they face. I wanted to create a space where women felt seen and supported, a place where their mental health wasn’t an afterthought.
At Well Balanced Women, we’re focused on breaking the stigma around mental health and offering care that feels real, relatable, and personal. My experiences as a mom, a wife, and a former bedside nurse have shaped the practice, and I bring all of that into the work we do here. I’ve been where many of my patients are, and I know how much strength it takes to reach out for support.
My hope is that Well Balanced Women becomes more than just a practice—it becomes a movement to empower women to prioritize their mental health, honor their journeys, and support each other along the way. The path wasn’t always clear, but every challenge has only strengthened my commitment to this mission. I’m grateful to be here and to have the privilege of walking this journey alongside so many incredible women.
